I have a 1980 Glove Box insert, it has holes in it.
Does this mean it was suppose to have the 8 Track dividers in it?
Or are they all made the same.
Thanks for any help.
All 78-82's equipted with either an 8-track or cassette player had the dividers. I don't recall if cars without an optional tape player, got the dividers too, but I think they might have. Either way, I think that all glove box liners had the holes in them. If I can get to my shop, I'll look through some of my Corvette parts books and see if Chevrolet listed one or two different liners. Right now there is about 2 feet of snow between me and the shop, but I'll be working my way out there shortly! My NCRS 78-79 and 80-82 Judging Manuals are both in the shop, too. They may have the answer in them, also.
That would be great help. I didn't think they would bother making 2 different liners. I would think 1 liner then you get the dividers if you need them.
Actually they did make two different boxes.
My white 79 that originally came with CB and no tape doesn't have holes for the dividers.
My other 3 Vettes with 8tracks all came with holes/dividers.
Just checked the AIM, different part numbers for the two boxes.
