Why would you want to go to such extreems?

Love your car for what it is.

I have a free donor, and it would in no way hurt the value of my 69.and I really like the way the c4 handles and the look of the 69

It would hurt the value, especially for a 69

they are the most valuable of the "bumper" cars

Just buy a C-4 and enjoy both worlds

Didn't mean to hi-jack your post but think about it.

I thought about that idea too and decided I would replace the stock frame with a modern frame designed to use a C4 suspension rather that modify the stock frame to accept the C4 parts. There are several to choose from.

Keeping it stock takes the fun out of making your car different from everyone elses. Personally, I could care less about resale value - I dont ever plan on selling it.
Make sure you leave your car in the garage, the more miles you put on your car, the less valuable it becomes
There is a guy on VM that posted a bunch of pics of his '69 with C4 suspension on the "stock" frame.

I got a spare frame off ebay, and then modified it to accept the C4 suspension. Just rolled the original (unmolested) frame out, and rolled the "new" one in.
I can still enjoy the stock appearance of the car (it's a '69, so I'm a bit biased ), but the handling is so much crisper and more predictable. It was a lot of work to make it look stock, but well worth the effort.
Whichever route you take (store bought or home grown), you'll love the results.

This would be the best way to go.
