Default '77 taillights

Is there any differance in original taillights/back up lights for a '77 vs. NOS or reproduction? Are all vendors geting them from same supplier? All four of mine are original but cracked. Thanks, mds...

Well if you are putting NOS lights on, then they ARE the originals...."new old stock", so they would perfectly match the lights you have now. Most reputable vendors like Ecklers, Corvette America, etc, all provide lights based on the originals...so there should be no distinguishable difference between those and the NOS lamps. You might even try Wilcox to see if he has any lights, and might be able to give you a Forum member's discount. I think ALL original tail lamps are crap...they get hazy and brittle, discolor, and just look terrible. That's why I opted to go with a set of the bubble lights. I lost the backup lamp, but I rarely drive backwards so I think I'll survive!
