I was looking at Goodyear and Firestone reproduction tires from Zip for my 70 and was wondering what the forum prefers. The Firestones are $172.95 ea. and the Goodyears are $230 ea. Is one better than the other or do we go with cheaper?
It depends on what you intend to do with them.. If just for driving the Firestones are ok. If you want correct tires for the least deduction of points at Bloomington or NCRS then the Goodyear Speedway are best. They are the same model installed at the factory. The Firetones are correct for some "muscle cars", but the model available in reproduction was never factory installed on Corvettes. If for driving not judging radials in the correct size. Much better ride and tracking .
