Who has a pypes c3 kit installed on their car? I am pretty sure I want to put the kit with the street pro mufflers on my '77 but want to hear other owner's feedback. I prefer the street pro kit because it has a more aggressive sound than the race pro does and with my wild cam I think it'll sound good. -Neal
I have read quite a few posts here about the poor fitment of pypes.
Oh sounds like fun.....at least they are only located less than 50 miles from my house and they say they will install it in 1-3 hrs for $75....might be money worth spending! -Neal

Neal - I installed the Pypes system in my 76 a couple years ago. The system sounds terrific and I love it, now that it is installed, BUT it was a BIZITCH to install. I purchased their down pipes which would not align with the crossover pipe that passed through the tranny cross member. I resorted to using my own stainless steel down pipes which fit like a glove. If they are willing to install it for $75 - DO IT.
I live 10 minutes from their Hatfield location - let me know when you are here & we can get together and BS about our Vettes.

Thanks John, I will definatly let you know when I'm in the area. I grew up in Willow Grove, my parents now live in Doylestown, and I lived in Lansdale/Montgomeryville for quite a while before moving to Parkesburg (outside of Lancaster) two years ago. Needless to say, I'm in your area quite a bit still! Anyway, the weird thing with Pypes is that I have to order the system from Jegs and then take it to Pypes to have it installed....why? Well because if I go direct through Pypes the cost is almost $200 more than through Jegs! I told the Pypes guy that Jegs has free shipping and still is way cheaper and he said he can't undercut/match them because they are a big vendor for him....I get it, no big deal, but how often could a local guy possibly show up with $500 and say I want your exhaust.....I wouldn't have told Jegs haha. So The system started here, shipped to Jegs' warehouse somewhere probably in the midwest or something, and will end up right back in Hatfield where it was born! Seems odd, but I understand it. -Neal
A few of us had the Pypes kits in the early stages of development..a real bear to install. Check the old posts in General and Tech. They are probably easier to install now.
