Default Adhesive remover?

I am trying to clean up the floorboards in the vette to prep for paint or a coat of bedliner, but a previous owner used enough glue to keep the carpet in place through a hurricane. Is it ok to use something like goo gone or 3M adhesive remover on the fiberglass? I really just want to remove the glue and not the paint underneath it.

Any suggestions?
Thanks, Jeremy

3M adhesive remover, should be safe, but not knowing what type of paint you have their, I would try a small, unseen area first, just to be sure.

I've used the 3M product on a few jobs and it always worked out great. You could also use mineral spirits as well and use a 3M scuff pad with the adhesive remover will make the job go a lot faster.
