It's been a little less than a month since the 'Vette was sold and I flew across the world to work in this toilet. (Iraq) It sucks just as bad as I remember it did in '07. It's a little more lively in Baghdad than it was up north in Tikrit. We get hit more here for sure. Two thumpers came in the other night while I was out walking. 'Had to be 155 rounds from the intensity of the boom. It's a good thing they pay a good amount. .....and the food and housing is included as well. It's a great way to sock money away. (which is the whole idea for me being here) The wife and kids don't like it much at all. Niether do I, but we want a house and this is the fastest way to jump start the process that I could think of. Anyway, just wanted to peek in here to see what everyone is up to. Talk to you when I can.
.......Someone down south take a spin with the T-tops out for me, will ya'? Not sure what the future holds in store for me, Corvette wise. I still have to sit and think a while on what I really want.
The wife and kids want a house.......I sold my Corvette....
These are the makings of a common story. When I had my first Corvette, it was all paid for, and the condition was really coming around when my wife got the + sign on the EPT. She said she didn't want to raise a child in our stupid apartment (neither did I), so a month later I was vetteless. So far, it has been worth it for me though. I like the car I have now better than the one I had then. I hope it works out even better for you!
Stay safe.............. and selling the vette and what you are doing now is for all the right reasons..... Family is first and you can always buy another vette in the future

Hello! I hope you stay safe. Thanks for your service, soldier!
There will be no t-tops around the East Coast; we are getting hit with another snowstorm. My area had 80 inches this year prior to today's snow. When it goes, there is mud and salt everywhere. We will be here when you get back. I would love to buy you a beer when you return. You have my utmost respect. Thanks again
At least it went to someone on here.
Would you even recognize it anymore?
It's only been exactly 1 month and it has new carpet, new t-top seals, new windshield seals, new dash, new console panels, new rubber armrest.
This is what it looks like currently and it's still not even done, as evident by the tools sitting around.
Whoa! You've been busy! I'm glad it went to a good home. Yes, I would recognize it. The horn button is still on the center console. ....but that's about the only way. You're doing a fantastic job. I decided to finish the Impala and Chevelle and see where I am after that. I have the stuff I need to complete the Nova, I just need the time at home to do the work. I heard the Impala run before I left, so it's coming along nicely. The Chevelle, well, that's the most intense car I've ever built. I think that is going to get a fair amount of attention before I jump into another 'Vette.
...........of course if I happen to see a fantastic deal that I just can't pass up....we'll see. The plan is to finish what I have right now. Two of the three are VERY close.
Thanks for the update, Aaron. She looks like she's coming along nicely.
There are many of us here who had our turn defending our great RED/WHITE/BLUE who are thinking about what you guys are doing for us in Iraq and elsewhere.
Stay Safe, Work Hard and Come Back and buy that house......been exactly on the path your on.
I'm gonna personally take a spin in my Vette for you in March, in Wisconsin
