Vern, sometimes what happens is the old grease on the regulator gets hard and makes the window move slowly. You could try cleaning the old grease off the regulator with a solvent and reapply new white grease or whatever the service manual calls for and that might free it up. If you do decide to replace the motor it would still be a good idea to do this.

When I had mine apart, I found that the helper spring was installed backwards at sometime in the past. The window went down real fast but had to move against the spring to come up.
