Default 383 stroker headers

I'm installing a Blueprint stroker in my 76 (former L-48). The exhaust ports on the block are oval but the header is round where the header and block would be bolted together. Shouldn't the header flange be oval also? If so, any recommendations as to type or brand?

Your exhaust ports are on the heads, not the block. What kind of heads are they? I never heard of oval ports on a SBC.

Sorry, the exhaust ports are on the heads (where else). Perhaps square ports with rounded corners would be a better description. The heads are cast iron GM Vortec.

I have cast iron GM Vortec heads on mine. I'm using conventional Dynamax headers with 1 5/8 inch primaries. I use gaskets for standard heads, not Vortecs. They fit, no leaks.
