There is a light blue wire connected to my electric choke, other end is not connected to anything, the wire is about 15" long, not sure what happened here. Can someone tell me where this should go. I've done some searching and have heard to connect it to the stator terminal on the alternator, or to an oil pressure switch, or somewhere that has a 12V signal when the engine is running. I would really like to wire it back to factory specks. Thanks for any help. ~Randall

The 81 wiring diagram shows a light blue wire connected to electric choke.
You can use the power at wiper motor for now. Yellow wire on mine.
Hi Randall i know that this will not help much but i just went out and opened up the hood and followed the infamous blue wire. it goes under the air cleaner passed the alternator and meets up with the wiring harness on the drivers side goes under the master cylinder and into the firewall. from there i have to look at a wiring diagram. I will send one to you via e-mail if you like.

Hey thanks a ton Larry, I did a bunch of Google searches and finally found what I was looking for, (it was actually on my new wiring harness). The light blue wire comes from the choke heater relay under the console, goes thru the firewall on the drivers side, goes down the fender to the alternator, and crosses over there with the alternator/vacuum lines to the carburetor (exactly as you described).
