Anybody have experience with the POR15/Rust Bullet clone that Napa sells by the name of "Zero Rust"? I've been looking for POR15 and Rust Bullet locally, but cant find any yet.
Im not doing a 25k frame off, or anything close to that. Just a nice driver.
The price is good at $25/qt and you can get something like 12 different colors.
I used Zero Rust on a 64 Mustang I am working on. The stuff is great. It takes a week to fully cure, but once it does, it is almost like iron. Be sure to use lots of ventilation with it. The fumes will do you in quick.

How much prep work does it need compared to rustbullet and POR?
Rustbullet needs almost no prep work, but POR needs a lot of prep work.
Their website claims that you just need to wire brush/wheel the surface and then paint. They also say you can use a metal etcher for better results. There isn't a ton of info this stuff, thats why I asked about it

I took a right angle buffer and put an 8" wire wheel on it and knocked off all of the rust and dirt I could. I then sprayed all exposed metal with Pickelex and let it dry overnight. Then I brushed on the Zero Rust. See before cleaning, after cleaning and painted below.
