Those of you who have Battery Maintainers:
Which is the better brand to buy; "Battery Tender" or "Battery Minder" by VDC Corporation ?
I have read all the websites by the respective manufaturers and Battery Tender only maintains the battery while VDC Battery Minder allegedly de-sulphates the battery.
What has been your experience and which one would you recommend and why?
Thank you,
Kurt

I use a CTEK 3300 on both of my cars and love it. CTEK has a few newer models out there as well, but the 3300's do the job and have come down in price!
I have both and they seem to work equally well. I use the use the Battery Tender on my regular batteries & the Battery Minder on my restoration battery. Impossible to tell if the Battery Minder is doing anything different except to say my resto battery is still good after 4yrs.
I have 3 from Wal-Mart (Schumaker?) and one from Harley-Davidson. I bought all 3 at Wal-Mart for less than the one from H-D. All do the exact same thing, and all work great. Even the 6 volt battery in the 24 Ford is still ok after a year- And that's a new record for that one.
HAHA Well my CTEK is waterproof and you can drive over it and no problems, the water proof part is for boats and stuff. But there all pretty good , Ron
