I order some paint from Corvette Central to paint my armrests and door latch bezels. I wanted too know, will this paint hold up and is there a good way to prep these parts before painting????
Thank BILL

As long as you got the interior DYE paint, that stuff is really good. Make sure the parts are clean and spray a few LIGHT coats and it will work great.
Doesnt work on metal, but great for plastic and material like leather or vinyl.

Thanks Dmeesq, I read some threads on a search but no one said anything about prep. I was thinking some rubbing alcohol on a paper towel?
If you wipe the parts two or three times. The intent is to get rid of anything on the surface of the part which could contaminate the dye.
I agree with Mzmgb: soap, water, and lacquer thinner work well.
contaminants include silicones that are found in most products used to doll up wour interiors. If you've ever seen that fish egg look it's because surface was not clened well enough. Once you're done and ready to go, do it again.
