That tells you this part is available from your friendly local GM dealer still.

I agree with Todd- that is partly of what this forum is about - to let others know of who/what to watch out for. It isn't right period...It alsoi doesn't matter if it is a Supporting Vendor on this site!

..Did I mention that a lot of what you are ordering and waiting for is overpriced Chinese made crap anyway?

I have good experience with Corvette Central, in all my orders I write that I don't want any back order and they tell me if they don't have something from my list in stock and the date they can ship it and I decide if I want to wait for it or not.

The only one I've used that is 100% prompt and upfront is DocRebuild, but I think he and this site don't mesh.

My problem was with Eckler's.
To be fair though, I've ordered parts from them in the past and had no problems.

Got my auto transmission mount, rear spring mounting bolts, and leaf springs end bolt assemblies from them about an hour and a half ago. Ordered late Tuesday afternoon. Perfect timing -now maybe I can start assembling some stuff.

Because you know, i have all the time in the world to wait for parts, and there is no deadlines or anything i have to make.

The part supplier in question i sent many emails asking where my items were, to each one i got a response to the effect of "your order is being processed" then it was "a problem with shipping" then finally today i got an email saying that "they were on back order, expected ship date the 12th of April". I ordered these parts in late February or very early March.
These are parts available through any corvette parts dealer, the only reason i ordered from them is because they told me they were in stock. I have had similar problems with a few parts dealer.

Do they think that they will take a customer's money and then not ship their parts for a month and a half without the customer calling?

i am now holding my breath waiting for a fee or something for canceling my order.

It s not only the Corvette dealers its other car parts people are the same this winter I bought An old 944 for An investment Ive been waiting on a part from germany since feb. Im thinking all the time to my self well if this was a part for my Vette it would be here in A week. but reading all the posts it seems like its across the board .I placed an order on Sunday called on Monday Dude says everythings in stock should have your order by Friday,Still waiting finally the owner of the business calls me to tell me that the hose will not be shipping till May I put the old one back on .Darn part places taking us for Granted.
