Default shifter plate

sometime ago I purchase a box of parts that where said to have come from a 70-74 vette. the shifter plate has the #3977859 N.D. and #3977861 N.D. has holes for fiber optics. My vette is a 71 automatic with a/c. My AIM book calls for a different #, Anyone know what year and model this part goes to?? thanks, Mike

The plates are essentially the same with the exception of the AC. AC plates do not have the Vent slots; non-AC cars have slots for the Vents, hence the different part number. If your car has factory AC, you want the plate without the slots, hence the different part number.

The 71 plate is the same as the 3rd design 69 plate. Trim screw holes will be in each of the top corners and on each end of the fiber optic lens location.
