Default Got a Wave From a C3!!

Just going back to work from my lunch break today and got a wave from someone in a black C3 Coupe. I see plenty of threads about certain gens not waving at others. So I thought this would bring some more positive energy to the whole "wave" tradition. It is still alive

It wasn't so much that c3 owners do not wave it's the fact too many c4 and up especially c5/c6 owners either are clueless about the wave or are too cool to wave back.....Many times I wait til the last minute to see if c5/c6 owners are gonna wave 9 times out of 10 they dont...

Got a wave today from a black C4 , a maroon C5 vert, and ran a little with a std Jetstream blue C6 coupe on the way home, and waved off as he pulled off an exit. The C6 was QUICK, but I did a pretty good job of keeping up with him!

Didn't see any other C3s on the road though. We must be gettin' scarce.

Always waving.

It's nice around here; I've gotten a wave from virtually every Vette of any generation that I passed.

Of course, there are so few on the streets around here that I probably haven't passed more than a dozen since last July.

Thanks Bill

I was thinking the same thing the other day. I remember back in the 80's and C3's struck me as a pretty common car back then. Now the last time I remember seeing a C3 on the road that I wasn't driving probably was back in the 80's. I kinda like it better this way, my car stands out much more now then it did then.

Yes indeed. I haven't been to a meet lately but, I guess they will start getting good since the weather is better. Definitely bring that gorgeous C3 Vert!

I think the wave is kinda fun. I am betting those in the later gen models probably just don't know about it. After all there are tons of them on the road. The day this happened, I saw 6 C5s and 2 C6s in a two mile drive to where I went to lunch. The C3 I saw was on the way back to lunch and it stopped where I normally see it parked at. Consequently, the red C5 that was next to me, may have waved, I did not notice. But I did wave.

Took my C-3 out the other day, and though I didn't see any other Vettes, I got a from a guy walking his dog and waves from a bunch of teenagers at a bus stop. Way back in the Sixties when I was in high school, a classmate received a brand new 67 vert as a graduation present from his parents. When encountering another Vette, instead of a wave, he would give the two finger V hippie peace sign, and other drivers would responded in kind. He still has the Vette.
