New Wiring Harnesses/insulation
Ok I have the interior out of my 1980 and planning on cleaning everything up and installing some insulation on the firewall and fatmat on the rest of the interior. The questions I have are:
What is the general consensus on replacing the dash harness, I am thinking I should do it now while the interior is out.
Also what does everyone recomend for the firewall insulation and has anyone used fatmat before. Should I install the fatmat on the firewall as well? All suggestions and opinions are appreciated.

Sorry about taking so long to get back to you, I have been out of town. Yes, I have wires that have been cut, spliced and even a few that look slightly burnt. Under the hood is even worse not including the vacuum lines. I am thinking just replace and be done with it.
