If you have a 4spd Ecklers claims it should be almost 6ft long for a one piece.

You don't say whether you have a 4 speed or automatic!

4 speeds used a one piece cable at 70" long. Automatics originally had a 2 piece cable that coupled together just below the master cylinder. I think the auto cable was about 82" long (one cable 40" long & the other 42"???) when screwed together. The current one piece, 70" long, 4 speed cable will work fine as a replacement for the 2 piece auto cable.

Unless my math is wrong, at 70 inches, it sounds like you need about a 6 foot long cable!
