Dumb Clock Question?
Hopefully this is a dumb question. I did the quartz conversion on my clock. I wanted to test it for awhile before I reinstalled it. I have put the clock back in the cluster with the the other gauges. I assumed the clock grounded to the metal cluster frame. When I hook it directly to a 12 volt battery it does nothing. However, when I place another wire from the clock case to the ground it seems to run fine, but I don't see how it will work in the car without the separate ground wire? So what am I missing here?

I thought it might be something like this, I just went out and hooked it up again and took a little time to make a better ground with the cluster housing and it works fine...just got a little ahead of myself, thanks for the reply
