Bkvette3 asked me for some pictures of my Corvette so I thought I'd post what I've got. The car is actually in storage until the end of April so I can't get any better pictures, the ones I have aren't the greatest quality, they're kind of dark and the car is dirty but they'll do for now I suppose. These were taken in the shop where my husband works.
The car is a 79 L82 4 speed. It has A/C, power windows, power locks, power antenna, pulse wipers, gymkhanna suspension, glass t-tops, and tilt/tele. It has 60,000 miles and for whatever reason the motor was rebuilt I'm guessing about 10,000 miles ago. Runs super nice and the trans shifts like new. The car is just what I was looking for in a Corvette other than the brown exterior:
I'm eager to replace the Gymkhana suspension with a softer standard setup and repaint the car a different colour, possibly hot pink, purple, or purple to blue colour changing. Unfortunately my husband says I can't do anything on the Corvette until I get my other project finished - my winter car, an 81 AMC Eagle SX/4:

Thanks for posting the photos. Nice '79 Vette (low mileage). I don't think I would change the color. Keep it original. That interior/exterior color combo looks good. That interior is outstanding. Reminds me of my '75 L/48 coupe - same exterior color. Makes it stand out from the usual red, white and blues. After a wash (to remove the storage dust and grime), detailing and tire dressing this car would look HOT. Would turn more heads on Idylwyld Freeway than any new boring car out there. If I remember correctly, a few years back, I sold my Cortez silver '69 427 Coupe to a gentleman in Saskatoon. Just curious if you might have seen it in your travels

Granted most people have cringed when I told them the colours I had in mind, but I want a girly colour and something that's unusual - its a girl's right to horribly devalue her car and on the bright side it'll be less likely to be stolen.
Thanks, that was the first thing I noticed about the car, I looked in and was like "Holy crap, that interior is amazing, I've got to buy this car". Only problem is now I'm a little nervous to get in the car, I'm worried I'm going to tear or damage something.

I haven't seen it here, but I've only lived here for a couple of years - I'll keep my eyes open for it.
Root beer brown could possibly be the ugliest Corvette color ever (that '90s C4 teal is pretty close), but you might actually be making a worse choice with those other ideas.
Nice car!. I say paint it pink and put in a loud engine, exhaust combo like the one in this video. ... http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=Th6S...eature=related
once you hear that engine you do not care about the color.
I want to replace the springs as soon as I get it out of storage but my husband says I can't do anything on the Corvette until the Eagle is done.
For me yellow would be much worse than brown but in any event its definitely not staying brown, I'm leaning towards the hot pink. Larry, that was a pretty nice looking Corvette you posted.
I hounded you for pics too...nice to see the car...just what I expected it would be, but I still say you should be out driving it...while I never liked brown or light interiors and in most cases I defend peoples rights to go custom....seems pinks will just not work with that shade of interior and that interior is just too nice to ruin,
