Ok i bought my 1979 vette in the fall from my uncle. I drove it a few times in the fall and found things that needed attention over the winter. So heres a list of what I completed:
All new Brakes lines, caliper, rotors, pads
4 new tires
new hooker headers
dual 2 1/2 exhuast with flow master 40
new MSD distributer and wires
new plugs
all new hoses and belts and water pump since i had everything apart
and check the timing by the thread posted on here
OMG the car runs so smooth now. Idles great runs great very very happy with it now. The timing made a world of difference in it. Just wanted to thank everyone for there help.
You look Waaaaay to young to drive. Can you even reach the pedals? J/K of course. Awesome car!
I was thinking exactly the same. I just got a chuckle thinking of Indiana Jones when the kid is flying through town "DR JONES, DR JONES" All kidding aside, you gotta love a black 79, not that I'm biased or anything.

Ya he is 7 and tells everyone all the time that the vette is his when he turns 16....LOL....That kid could ride in the vette all day and never say "are we there yet"....He says awww were not going home are we LOL...Thanks for the replys guys it has been a long winter and i have had tons of break downs with my daily drivers so it has made it a challenge to make time and moneys for the vette. I plan to get it shined up this weekend and get some better pics.
BL, yeah, my girls are 8 and 11 and love to ride in mine. I've seen them come literally running to the window in their daycare class if I pull up in it to pick one of them up.
