Default modification needed to install fixed headlights?

I am in the process of getting a new front bumper and I am going to glass it in, but before I did, I was wondering is there any modifcation needed to install fixed headlights? Do they simply go in place of the pop-up lights without needing to modify any other part of the body?

If you talking of the aftermarket kits, they just bolt in....for the most part, I not seen any needing paint/body mods...

but then to look at my sites below for a pix of them done right....

IMO,

I've seen both types; bolt up and bond in. Depends on what you want. Contact the vendor and ask.

I purchased my vette and it had the bolt-in ones in. I simply removed the four bolts and popped them off (4 per light pair). My pop ups I acquired will bolt right back in.
