I have a 1980 and on occasion need to turn to an expert for some assistance. The problem is, I have had some bad luck finding someone I am comfortable having work on my car.

I live in Pittsford, NY. Anyone know of a local guy I can turn to that does good work and can be trusted?

 

Here's a list of repair shops from Corvette Fever Magazine. They say "All shops listed here have been recommended by fellow Corvette enthusiasts. Based on their experiences, these business should be trustworthy.....". I have no knowledge of any of them. Maybe someone from the area will chime in.

I decided to have my engine pulled and restored. Didn't know who to call. Googled all the Corvette Clubs in my area and spoke to a few local club presidents. Several reccomendations were given to me. Chose one and work was completed. Several minor problems and they were corrected with no hassles or extra charges.
