I have a 1974 Corvette Coupe (late production) non a/c car and was wondering if the rear deck lid vents are suppose to be cut out with the vent parts. I have found 74 coupes with them cut out and all the parts from the earlier years and others are just blocked. I was wondering if this was something they stopped doing in the muddle of the production year.
On non-A/C cars, these grilles function to evacuate inside air to the outside as part of the "Astro-Ventilation" system. In A/C cars they are blocked off...The block-off plates are visable through the grills.
