Need help w/ Title ASAP!
Hey guys, im going to register my 1981 corvette in a few hours and i need help filling out the title that my uncle is transfering over. Im stumped with one section so if someone can tell me what goes on the line I would appreciate it. The section reads as follows:
"Subscribed by me under the penalties of false statement at __________________this, the ___________day of________,19__"
Thats exactly what it looks like, and i cant figure out what goes in the first line. Someone help, I need to know asap! Thanks guys!

...that part is for the notary to witness the seller's signature as true & legit that he(she)is signing off of the vehicle to another owner.

Some of the responses are too funny.
Usually on any title this is under the sellers signature, that's what they want to authenticate, that it is a legal sale.
If the state still requires this, then your uncle must sign it in front of the notary, a notory won't seal it if he did not see your uncle sign it with legal ID. The state certainly won't seal it illegally and if they need it sealed and it is already signed, then they can make your uncle get a new title and start over. Somewhere on there it will probably say that erasures void the title.
Be aware that some states don't require this any longer, call them as see.
BTW, I was a notary for many years.
