Default long front end

as you guys know, c3's have long front ends that dissappear from sight of the driver. my wife has problems with this. so, how about installing a back up alarm system on the front liscense plate spot. it would help prevent getting to close to anything hidden in front of the car, and avoid those nasty parking lot curbs. any thoughts on this???

Not sure about curbs but I always told my wife that "if you cant read the license plate of the car in front of you.......your too close".

When allowing others to drive the car, I've always used the line: "The front end is two feet longer than you think it is, so stop two feet short, and you will be right where you need to be." Has worked so far....

Best thing I have found to do is to let them sit in the car and then have them turn on the lights. They always say they had no idea there was that much front end.

I whacked the nose of my '74 the day I bought it. Have the wife practice three or four more times and she'll get the hang of it.

I made sure I got a 4 speed, which my wife can't drive. Also saves the wheel trim rings (curbs) front air dam (parking spot concrete) and dents in the oil pan (speed bumps).
