BOY< WHAT A BIG LET DOWN WAS THE STRICTLY CORVETTE SHOW IN ATLANTICC CITY, NJ. I felt it was hardly worth the ferry ride over to see this. Hardly any vendor that really had anything worth while unless you had a c5 or c6. Now I know to wait for CARLISLE, IN PA

I could have went to FC Kerbeck and looked at a bunch of C5 & C6's!
There were some nice pre C-5's but not enough to justify the trip. Couldn't buy anything for my C3 or C4 as they didn't have one single vendor with any parts, etc.
I was planning on going tomorrow but you guys have me thinking now. I figured it was mostly C5 and C6 stuff but I was hoping for a few earlier things also.
I was not thrilled either. I was in the walk of history last year. I did not like the cars in it this year. Don't get me wrong, there were some nice cars. What I did not like was that they had a poor representation of cars. These cars should be stock cars. Some cars had side pipes and custom paint. A person looking at this display would think that is what they should look like.

He said it right in his last sentence wait for Carlisle. Why go to a c5 & c6 show when you can go to a ALL Corvette show.
I saved myself an hour drive and $20 this year, and last year. I buy all of my parts on line now anyway. And I see all of the stock Corvettes I want at every show that I enter. Maybe that show is really for NON Corvette people. The Atlantic City Classic Car Auction in February isn't much better. Same vendors selling flea market junk and overpriced food.
I attended the show and got some deals on things for mine and my girls vettes from rpi designs. I felt they were nice to us and went back before leaving and ordered some more parts from them. All in all I thought the show was going to be bigger. I dont think I even saw autobuffs there.
Yes, there were some nice cars - but way too many were overdone (too much JC Whitney specialization). There were cars in the show that had no business being in the show as the owners didn't even take the time to detail them, cruddy engine bays, dirty rims, etc. I liked alot of the cars, and did buy a bottle of metal polish.
The organizers of the show overpromised and underdelivered. Maybe with time the show will get its act together.
I did go. It was not really for the C3 crowd but it was not bad. There was 5 of us including my son and we had fun anyway. Some nice cars and some real blinger cars. I just don't pay much attention to them. Talked with a few of the C2 and C3 owners at great length and that made it worth it. Saw some of the vendors and lets face it the market for aftermarket parts is far greater right now for C5 and C6 cars so that is where the attention is. We had lunch across the street and BSed a few hours away. What better way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon.

autobuffs was there.... yes the show was not as good as the first year. i think it was because the room was bigger so the cars were spaced out more and i believe he had some no-shows. to me the show was ok. i have to agree with the vendor statement that there was nothing for the c-3 guy. my club took home 5 trophies out of 7 cars

I think I ran into a few of your buddies Gordon, but missed you when you stopped by to see the cars. Maybe next year!

Wayne I was the one you were talking to about the 5 speed and the hyd clutch and the Steeroids and hydroboost. I'm sure you talked to a lot of people but I did talk to you and listened to your future plans for the car. I was there Sunday about 11.30 or so talking to you.
I didn't think it was bad. Had 4 of my favorate venders there.

Wow you missed Auto Buffs, they had 3 cars at their booth and Jan, Lynn and John were there both days.
