I would stay away from the silver/metal flake paint job. If you ever need any paint/body work it will be nearly impossible to match.
Same type of discouragement I heard before I did mine. And look at my avatar, need I say more?
I already had to match a panel that got keyed, you'd never know even if I pointed it out. Just keep some of the original color, to make sure you have some from the same batch.

I have learned the hard way, i am too **** to ever own another black car.
My vote is for gunmetal with black stripe
If you want black, do black. But if you do a dark color make sure to block sand the surfacer, don't just strip prime and spray.

I don't see what the big deal is about keeping black clean. I had mine painted the original shade of black 4 years ago, and don't regret it at all. No it doesn't get driven in the rain and it does stay in a garage, but I do wipe it down all the time. To me it's just not a big deal, more like a labor of love.

My vote would be Black with a dark Gunmetal stripe.
Black isn't too much trouble really. I hit mine with a California Duster in the garage just about everytime before I drive it, as I love the mirror look. Paint's not show, but it looks pretty good for a driver.
