how much gas does a 1980 hold?
seems like a dumb question, but i have never let it go below a quarter tank. The other day i was on the highway and pulled off to get gas at a quarter tank.
It took 21.3 gallons (that is what i remember anyway), which is more then i have ever put in it before, so i figure its time to check the gas gauge.
But how many gallons does it hold total, i feel kind of dumb asking this hahaha

My '79's owner's manual states 23.7 US gallons or 20 Imperial Gallons.
These cars are so old that I fear the crud in the bottom of the tanks should never be disturbed in any way, including running the gas tank almost empty.
