I want to get to my speedo and tach, and this looks easy with the top dash pad off. Is the pad hard to remove? It seems easier than dropping the steering column and removing the left side instrument cluster.

Let it sit in the sun for about an hour to get it nice and flexible. Remove 10 screws from the pads, three on each pad and two in each door jamb and the screw that goes up through the small gauge cluster bezel.

At this point I would go ahead and remove the two screws going through the small gauge cluster bezel into the passenger side lower dash pad because that is all that's holding it in place anyway and you don't want to strip the fiberglass out.

Remove the visors, the header molding and both windshield pillar moldings.

Lift the edge of the top pad closest to you and put your hand under the center of it and push down on one corner with the other hand bending it in the middle just enough to clear the pillar.

Once one pillar is cleared it will come out. Obviously the speakers mounted under the pad will need to clear the lower dash pads also.
