Default Question about RH courtesy light bracket

Hi there,

My passenger side courtesy light has always just hung up under the dash (wrapped around AC ducting). I always planned on getting a proper bracket, but it was a low priority.

Yesturday, I pull the kick panel to swap out the speaker, and low and behold, there's a shinny bracket for the courtesy lamp.

My problem is this - I've looked at the AIM, and under the C60 (A/C) pages, it shows where to put the bracket - but I can't tell where it is showing to put it. I appears to put it 2.48" up on something, but I can't tell what the something is.

Thanks,
Matt

Matt,

On my 72, which, when I bought it, was pretty much ALL original, the passenger side courtesy light bracket screwed into the top of the kick panel..Mine too was hanging down when I bought the car (IIRC) but the hole was there, so thats where I mounted it when it went back together..

It screws into the top of the kick panel. There is pictures in the aim, should be in the electrical section, or interior parts.

It probably uses the kick panel trim screw.

It uses a pop rivit from the back side on later C3s. Worth a look...
