I replaced the relay and the resistor. I tried an old blower switch but no luck. If I play with both switches I can get 3rd speed but not high. I always have low speed working. Is there an in line fuse? Is there away to check the switches. Can it be something else???
Not sure about your year but my '73 has an inline fues located near the horn relay. I think the wire is a large orange one.
Good call on the in line fuse......my 71 is over by the horn relay vary close to the brake master cly........my fuse holder was a mess so I just
cut it out and put in a new one.
Its possible it is a fuse. From my experience, it is more probable that it is the fan relay. The points on these seem to deteriorate with use, leaving you with only the default low speed

How do I check that? Is that the same relay mounted on the wall, a little above the resistor? I replaced both of them(resistor & relay)! I still have not found an inline fuse. Not sure there is one on a 79

How do I go about checking the switch plug? In other words, I want to check for continuity to the plug harness at the switch. I'm stumped, I'm overlooking something but don't know what!
On a/c cars there should be an inline fuse between the wiper motor and the fan relay alongside the main engine harness.
It starts a 10ga red wire and comes out the fuse orange.

Are we absolutely sure about an in line fuse associated with the blower on a 79 L82 with air, cause I can't find one !!!!
I think that circuit is the same on 79 to 82
maybe this will help
Check the ground for the relay, it gets messed up on a starter change sometimes, same with the blower ground. The Or wire turns on the relay, the power for the blower on HI is the Red one on the relay, it comes up from the fuse link on the starter. There is a connector on the main harness right behind the passenger head that burns pins sometimes too, you could be losing the ground or the power there

I still need help !!!
I have power on the red wire from the relay. but don't know how to check any thing else. At least I know I got power to or after the relay. Now what????
