The article says 4 people died in the crash, yet it was only 1 car, a Corvette

I suppose a couple of them could have been in the rear storage area. That would have freed up the passenger's seat for the console rider.
On one occasion, I had four adults in my '74 coupe. Good thing we were all related.

I had 4 people in my '69 several times, long, long ago.
A friend of mine had 4 people in his '73 once. Hit a speed bump too fast and the rear tires went up into the fender wells and cracked both quarter panels. They were bigger than stock tires.

i got 2 good ones. we fit 13 in a dodge champ cause he was the only one with a car. the other one is i used to work in jersey city new jersey and go home to brooklyn with 3 people in a MG.

Yup.....one stupid female (probably drunk) "driving" the car, and 3 drunk fools, stupid enough to get in the car with her.....
