Default Lift question

If I do my transmission auto/to 4 spd, on a 2 pole lift, is there going to be any problems ? Reason I ask is because these C-3"s are so heavy up front and the lift pad sits so far behind the front wheels. Puts a lot of weight forward, when TH-400 is removed.

Your thoughts ?

Thanks

no you will not have any problems, set the front pads right behind the front wheels and the rear pads directly in front of the rear wheels. I have had a 2post lift for the last 15 years and never had a problem pulling a transmission/suspension etc.

Unless the car has been modded otherwise to disturb the fore and aft balance, it's not an issue when removing weight from the center. Remember, you have the rear axle, spare, gas tank, and mounted wheels offsetting the front. Even if you remove all 4 wheels for more access.

Trans swap sounds exciting. Post pics when you get the chance.

I have done 3 auto to 5 speed swaps and recently did mine again to a 6 speed this time. All on a 2 post lift. Never gave it a second thought. It stays up there no problem.
