Great color choise! The back of the car looks MUCH better. You're getting there.

You have to becarefull picking out seats as many are too wide. The Pontiac Fiero seats are a very popular choise. They are around at reasonable prices and are not that difficult to adapt. Do a search. There is lots of info on this. As far as emblems go does a car like this even need them? It looks good without them. It's not like they belong there. Sorry I can't help you at all with radio suggestions but I'm sure there are others here who can.

What wheels/tires did you go with?

Should have kept the Continental tire on the trunk!!! Not. Much better.
Looks a little on the futuristic side, but unique is what comes to mind for me. Drive it and enjoy all the attention.

Looks really cool. I usually prefer the smoothie look in most customs, like street rods, so I would have pulled them out. Everything else looks pretty cool though.

4 thumbs up!!!

What wheels/tires did you go with?
we currently have what i believe are some recaro seats from the 70s with some custom upholstery. we went yesterday for an estimate on just keeping the same seats(since theyre incredibly comfortable) and re-doing them but the guy gave us a quote around 2200 for just the two seats and another 1200 for the convertible top to be re-done.
so we figured we're better off with possiblly buying some good looking COMFORTABLE seats. as for the convertible top, we would like to get a hard top but it seems like it might turn into too much of a hastle to move it on and off of the car.

as for the emblems..
your right, they arent really necesary but i thought up the idea yesterday and felt that they could give a nice finishing touch to it.

and as for wheels we're going with the torque thrust II's.
we liked the look of it on my 78 and its a classic five spoke wheel and i feel you cant go wrong with them.

many thanks for your input!

I like the look without the spare tire.
those front turn signals look like Ferrari Daytona signals turned upside down and swapped left to right. Am I correct or are my eyes deceiving me (or I'm just plain nuts) Taillights look like they're from an E21 BMW 3-series.
Pretty nicely done custom. It looks pretty good with those wheels too. It fits the "period" feel that I get when I look at it. I personally don't think a modern wheel would look right.

yup, you got it Ferrari Daytona 365GTB turn signals just as you said it.
unfortunatly we need to replace the pair and they werent easy to find.
the one website i actually found has them listed for alittle offer 1k a pair.

BUT

the taillights are actually mercedes benz tail lights.

as for the wheels..
we drove ourselves and the employees at the rim shops crazy looking for that same wheel and we couldnt seem to find that same wheel which was what we originally wanted.
they are damaged to the point where they are not repairable and we just cant seem to find that wheel.
we looked around at other whire wheels but none that interested us.
so we just decided to go with the 5 spoke torque thrust II's.
not much we felt we could do.

thanks for the input
