Default loud sidepipes

Hi Guys
I have fitted a set of stainless steel hooker headers and sidepipes to my vet and at the moment I have no baffles in them, they are very very loud, don't get me wrong I do love the sound of a V8 but these seem far to loud to pass an English MOT test, I was considering getting a set of STS Baffles or Glass packs do you know which ones are the loudest or can you suggest anything else?

many thanks

Jerry

I know it wasn't in your list, but I would also seriously consider Sweet Thunder inserts. I have their 2.5" ones (the loudest they sold when I got them). They are still loud but not open header loud. Plus they are cheaper than STS baffles and still flow really well.

I have the STS and love them.
My second choice would be the Sweet Thunder inserts.

Glass Packs are loud and eventually burn out.

Are the sweet thunders louder than the STS Baffles, does anybody have a video of a comparison between the two, I have seen a video of the STS verses Glass packs on You Tube and both sound great but I am still a bit worried about the volume!!
Who supplies the sweet thunder?

Here's a few videos I made a few years ago to hear some differences between the two, not sure if it's the same you seen already, but here they are:

Driving with glasspacks in:

Driving same route with STS baffles in: (center cap of STS baffle completely removed)

This video still had the glasspacks in it.

Edit: Maybe someone else has videos with the STS baffles center drilled out just a little bit to see how loud it is for hole size comparison; kinda wish I had drilled it and checked it before just removing the whole center cap, but oh well...it is loud but not that loud and I've never had anyone complain nor been pulled over either.

Hope it helps.

Don't forget the hooker max flows. They give a much deeper hot rod tone and are still loud but not deafening. I always say i'll post a video of mine, so lets see if i can actually get around to it this weekend. They are fairly cheap, i got mine on amazon for $140 shipped to my door.

Thanks for posting your video I guess mine would sound like yours as my Vet is a small block, I think yours sounds great, is it very loud at full throttle or drony on a long journey.
