Default Original 1981 Wheels ???

Not sure why the wheels on this 1981 are different, (the spacers are tapered on 2 of the wheels and not on the other 2) I was recently at a car show and was looking at a 1982 and noticed that 2 of the wheels were like one of these pictures and the other 2 were like the other, I asked the owner if he knew why his wheels were different, he didn't have a clue but looked upset that they were .........I told him sorry about that and moved on.

Interesting. I'd bet the inside of the wheels are stamped differently. Differen't years? Differen't maker? Aftermarket?

My '79 wheels match your first picture....almost.
On my '79, the "spokes" are all the same and the wheels all look the same as your first picture. They even have the same identical stampings on the inside, but the center inset where the center caps snap on is slightly different on one of mine.

You referring to the hole sizes and the difference in the taper at one end? One is a rectangle and the other a trapezoid or am I missing something?

The top one is a Kelsey Hayes.
Bottom a Western or other aftermarket. The way the slots seem to fade away.
I'd bet on it!

Referring to the taper at one end, wondering which wheels might be aftermarket.
