My '69 was just inspected a couple of weeks ago, so while I have not pulled the wheels, I'm pretty sure my problem is not pads.
My brake pedal is going to the floor without much force exerted on it. I am able to stop, but am not going to take the car out again until I figure this out. I checked the Master Cylinder and it is full.
My question is, where do I start, what are some reasons I would have seemingly no brake pressure?
What do I check?
Sorry for such a basic question, but I'm not a mechanical specialist and would like to try and find a possible obvious solution before I take the car someplace.
Thanks in advance.
If you need to bleed the brakes, I recommend a Motive Power Bleeder. I just bought one based on recommendations from this forum and it works as good as everyone said. Do a search and check it out for yourself.
Don't EVER put painting the man cave ahead of the vette. Besides, the best man caves look like they have been used by a car guy......
To tell the truth, I'm painting the garage for ME! Ceilings done, walls are next and then the floor is going to get the special treatment, with road lines and all. An appropriate home for my car. I just have to fix the brakes so the back wall of my garage doesn't become the new door to my family room!
