Default Stupid Spal Question

After installing my dual Spal fans, I set them up to come on with the ignition. I now want to hook them up to the temperature switch included with the kit, which I installed in the head when I installed the motor. Trouble is, I don't have a fitting to hook the relay switch wire to the thermostat switch. What are people using? Seems like a very small post so I doubt that I could find a nut small enough. Is there a push on fitting of some kind? :o

Connector? Why aren't you soldering these important wires together?

I believe he's talking about the connector that slides on to the sending unit that is mounted in the block/head.

There are different types but normally the connection point on the harness is a push on friction fit plug (normally elbow shaped) that slides onto the threaded stud sticking out of the sending unit. Messing with a nut on that stud, I agree would be tedious. Good luck.

That's exactly right. I'm looking for the push on connector.

Why don't you post a pic of what you have, there are several different styles of terminals on temp switches.

Here's a pic of the kit that I got. It's from the DeWitts website and may also explain why I'm having a problem that others haven't.

If you look closely, I think that there's a nut on the end of the sender. Mine doesn't have one. If that's the case, it's pretty easy to deal with.

Can anyone confirm that their sender came with a nut on it?

Found a better pic with the nut in place. Looks like the solution is simple after all.
