under coating '77 model

The factory srayed some "sound deadening" (same as undercoat) in the rear wheel wells and only some overspray got on the side of the boxes and is different on most cars. Done with the bare body, so none on the frame parts. It then had some car color overspray on top of that.
The front had a lot on the bottom of the fender to prevent paint cracking on the fender tops.
The metal floor pans were galvanized
You did a beautiful job on cleaning that up.
Looks like the glass is in great shape too. Some cars have a lot of deterioration of the resins.
Unless you are having the car judged, I would never spray that crap back on. Looks great when you first fo it, but 6 months down the road it looksd like dog doo and is a pain to keep looking good.
I would prep it like the outside body and put decent paint on it, single stage urethane. Will look good forever. Super easy to keep clean.
For rock damage prevention, I would glue a thin piece of rubber between the rubber gaskets on the inside top of the front fender.
Good luck with whatever you choose.
