Oh how springtme brings new life & new ideas! YEAH!!!
Ok, first of all, a BIG thanks to Dave over at DMH Performance for some awesome cutouts & great service. They hang no lower than my headers or auto trans cross member and the function flawlesly
These things are great, if I crack them just a hair with the momentary switch, it makes my exhaust just rumble enough to turn heads. If I progressivly open them I can go anywhere from rumble to a full blown earth shaking roar. Well, ok, the ground may not shake, but my a$$ sure does.
Thanks Dave

digital camera, film video and upload it to youtube, photobucket, etc
Thanks Guys, the switch panel I made from aluminum, painted and mounted on the console's side panel right by the driver's side inner seat belt. This way I can function the cut outs as I drive and not have to reach. Kinda stealthy! HA!
I just happen to be in the market for cutouts for my car. These guys have a four year warranty and you are a satisfied customer. Thanks for the testemonial. One question, how long does it take to go from full closed to full open? The other guys take 3 seconds.

Good question bee Jay, I never timed it or even wondered, I'd say about the same, 3 seconds? Maybe less? It certianly is not long enough where I even took it into consideration, hold the switch and bingo, it's wide open.
How's the turn-out at Kenosha (typically)? I'm originaly from Fond du Lac and am planning a trip through there.

Terry,
the turn out is great & gets bigger every year. Usually a good number of Vettes too. It is an all Chevy show. It's one of the shows I make sure I attend every year. It would be great to see you there!
My friend with a Z06 was over tonight. We put the car up on my lift to install a tow eye. He's taking the car to Willow Springs in a couple of weeks. The exhaust cut outs on each muffler is vacuum operated. The vacuum keeps the muffler cut out closed. When the engine is cut off, the valves springs into the open position. I guess the vacuum comes from the intake, but is somehow computer controlled. Another friend with a Z06 can manually control his cut outs with his key fob. If I could get my hands on a Z06 muffler, I prolly could make the cutout work.
