Hood and Pipes
Need your opinion:
First, to close your hood should you lower and then push down corners closest to windshield or lower to 6-8 inches and "drop"
Second, I have Hooker flat black side pipes. Whats good to detail them with?
Thanks !

I drop from the vertical position...
Just kidding. I push both sides down but I probably don't have to.

I use the short drop, but the right side on the '68 sometimes misses and I baby that corner down. '80 closes every time without a hitch.

Thanks for all of your responses with regards to the hood.
What about detailing the flat black side pipes?

Try some glass cleaner on the black pipes. Simple green may also work well. Obviously, be sure the pipes are cold. You might also shoot an e-mail to Hooker to see what they recomend.

A can of spray paint. That's the beauty of black pipes.

Anybody remember that we're not supposed to push down the hood because of the "micro-dust particles" that might scratch the paint?
