Hey guys,
Check this out. This car gets more attention at the shows then the freshly restored perfect cars do. It runs like a top and is driven every where.
By the way I am in need of tattered beige door panels and a tattered beige top to complete the project. See post in the parts section

Reason: spell check
This car sat in the back of Corvette Conspiracy's shop for 30 years. The story was that the guy brought it in for service and couldn't pay the bill so he left it. It was basically a table that had everything piled on top of it. A fixture in the shop. About two years ago the owner of the shop decided dig it out and get her running. It didn't really take all that much, but then all the other stuff had to be gone thru, like brakes, wheel bearings etc. So he eventually got the title via a mechanics lean. Now he loves it and drives it whenever he can. It always attracts a lot of attention at the shows. He loves the fact that it gets awards for "in need of most restoration" or the ugliest car. He has a lot of fun with it.
....I've seen it a few times and it's neat to see cars like this. I saw it up at the Corsa Berea show maybe two years ago and Solon last year.
The next Solon "Corvette" night is Tuesday, June 8. If the weather's decent, I'll be there either in my Blue '68 convertible or '74 Orange coupe.
No plan to restore it. He loves it the way it is. He is looking for a ratty tan top and some ratty tan door panels to complete the project.
I think his original plan was to restore it but then he started getting all the attention at the shows. Then he realized how much fun it is to just drive it and not worry about nicks, scratches etc. Not to mention not polishing or waxing.
