If it sits for weeks at a time w/o a battery tender, AGM's such as Optima are a very good but pricey choice.
If you use a battery tender (any smart tender) and don't want to spend an extra $100, then look for a flooded (wet) battery with the longest free-replacement (not pro-rated) warranty.
