Default "engine miss only at operating temp"

My car idles fine and runs good until I get up to 180 to 190 deg. Then I starting getting a ticking sound like an exhaust leak and the engine has a miss on #8 cyl.Just changed oil 10w40.Good oil press.Motor has a little over 2000 miles since rebuild.Water temp gose to 200 in this heat every now and then.Like I said it dosent do it when cold.It gets up to around 175 and has no problem. Then I take it for a ride and after 3 or 4 miles I notice the miss and ticking noise.Could it be a lifter sticking or leaking down.At 50+mph I have 70 psi oil press and at idle its around 35psi at operating temp so I dont think its a an oil press problem. Also anyone have exp with rhodes lifters. If ones defective Im going to put in a whole new set. Thanks

Any unusual color on the plug? Any chance the plug wire is weak and breaks down when hot? Don't just assume because it only has a few miles, swap it out with a new one to make sure.

plugs are new.About 50 miles on them.I pulled a couple and they look about the same.Plug wires are about 4 years old but very few miles. They look like a cheap set of super stock 8mm wires.I may go ahead and put a set of accel wires on it just for kicks.I ordered a set this afternoon should be in tomorow miday. It dose have headers and they do take a beating from the heat.I was going to put header wrap on them but the last time I did that they burned out quick from not being able to expel the heat.Keep the ideas coming case this dont work.
