Need console wood kit help...

Need console wood kit help...
Vandals damaged my '79 Vette last week. They slit my seats, slashed my dash and busted up my console. I'm slowly getting things repaired but have run into a snag: The wood kit over the console was broken. Corvette Central gave me the bad news that they don't carry anything this light in color. I like this color and don't want to change, plus I don't want to have to pay the $$$ replacing all the other wood parts.

If anybody knows who may have this piece in this color (or close), please let me know.
BTW, the vandals have been caught but no information has been released other than they are minors. Once I get more information, I will be seeing their parents in small claims court.

Sorry I can't help, but I feel your pain.
My kid's car was broken into the other night and they stole the owners manual, ownership and insurance paperwork.
I spent an hour at the MTO today replacing the ownership.

At least I was calm about it, the owner of the Mercedes was really making a scene at the Sheriff's Office as I was leaving. I even stopped by him and told him to chill out, the last place to be an ******* is in a Police Station. He told me to mind my own business, then started screaming at the cop at the desk. As I was leaving, I saw two Deputies unsnapping their holsters as they approached the guy. I'm upset my car got trashed but DAMNED, he was going over the edge. As far as I'm concerned, those cops could "Rodney King" his ***.
Sigh. I'm getting a price list up for repairs/replacements to turn into insurance. I guess that I'm out of the Car Show scene for the rest of this season.

I feel your pain also. I got off lucky with a broken window (how they gained entrance to my car), other cars got keyed, spray-painted and a Mercedes 450 SL had lighter fluid sprayed on the seats and carpet, then set on fire. From the info the policia gave me this morning, they picked up five kids yesterday and expect to get at least three more today. The ones they caught are all under the age of 18 but they are narcing each other out. The police expect to swear a warrent out on at least one adult today. Other than that, they are conducting an investigation and can't say much more.

As for stealing my guns, if somebody can get in my house, past certain security measures to gain access to my Liberty Centurion Gun safe, which is in my basement, bolted to the floor, to get to my stash of weapons, then they have earned them.
Have I mentioned the Dobey (Blackjack) and the Shep/Collie (Worf) that guard the house? They tend to bark a lot and Worf has been known to be extremely territorial. Also, if I'm not home, my wife usually is, and she has easy access to her 12 guage Mosberg riot gun.
Ha.
Most of the time I side with the LEO's. Granted, I'm pissed about some punk-*** kids trashing my car but the cops are doing the best that they can. The Mercedes guy was acting like the cops personally torched his car. But then, my car was "just" a Corvette and his was a Mercedes. Anyway, I hope the cops either arrested him or "Rodney King'ed" his *** for acting like a brat.

Ah, the Comedian. A true hero to admire. He's been my favorite Vigilante since WATCHMEN first debuted in 1986.

I e-mailed the owner of the place, he replied to me within an hour. He agreed that Honey Burl matched the best but did warn that his product has swirl-grain where my woodkit is straight-grained. The price is what I can afford and if his product is as good as his service has been so far, I should be in good hands with his business.
I ordered the Honey Burl kit - it may take a couple of weeks to get to me. I'll let everybody know how it works out.
