Default 72 454 4 speed

Im' looking at a 72, 454, 4 speed, all power, a/c, steel city grey, numbers matching, unrestored with no rust. Once again I don't know how to post the pictures I have. The paint and interior are good but not great. I know it is hard to tell with out pictures but how much is this type of car worth. I can e-mail pictures to anyone who wants them. Thanks for the help.

Given a single shred of information more, perhaps.

But since big-blocks needing full restoration can be had in the $10k range:

something somewhat near what was briefly described, needing less work, but not in show condition, might be worth what I stated, give or take $15,000.

It's my understanding that convertibles that fit that description sell for a few more dollars than coupes, but I might be whacked out there. There is a recent thread that said a '70 was "numbers matching" and "all original", but the pictures told a radically different story.

Said another way, the original post doesn't even give me enough information to form an uninformed opinion.

Well said. An unrestored 38 year old car is a financial disaster waiting to happen. Even if you think you can just enjoy it as-is, there will be many very expensive repairs. You have to ask yourself if you are willing to spend another 20K-50K above a 10K-40K purchase price, then be able to sell it some day for 50k tops? If you don't know what these cars are worth in today's market, if you aren't able to restore cars yourself, or you don't know what it costs to have one restored, then I would suggest you try to find something already farther down the road.
