torq thrust II backspacing

torq thrust II backspacing
After countless hours of searching, I've decided to make a thread about it.
I'm going 15x8 with 245/60 bfgoodrich tires on the front
and
I'm getting 15x10 on the rear with 275/50 bfgoodrich radial T/A's
but what backspacing have you guys used? after researching, I am thinking of a 5.5" b.s. (custom made because stock on the rim is 3.75" or something around there) but I was told it wouldn't leave me much of a dish, just about the same dish as the front.
anyone have 15x10's on the rear? could you post up what b.s. you used/tire size and pics if you have it?
I know I'm going to be changing the trailing arms, relocating the ebrake and probably the leaf spring replacement as well.

Go with a 4 inch back space on the front. That is stock back spacing. The rear go with a 5 or a 5.5 back spacing. If you are using 15 inch wheels you will need offset trailing arms.
I run an 18X10 rear wheel with a 5.5 backspace and a 275 40 18 tire. Shortened spring but stock arms due to the 18 inch rim.

Burning Brakes
increasing your backspacing beyond 4" will give you clearance to add C-5 brakes to front and rear. With tires that size I would think you have some grunt under the hood and you might want some added stopping power. I learned this the hard way - after I bought my TTII's.
I think you need 4.5" to step up the brakes, but it's been 2 years and I don't recall. Do a search maybe.
Edit: actually, with only 15's I'm not sure you can do it. I went with 17's.

Might well be different with 275/50's vs. 295/50's (the size I've had on 10's), but from what I've seen with 10" x 15" rears in order to avoid necessitating flares you'll most likely have to achieve 5.5" BS. Question is, has anyone actually done that with 15" wheels/tires without being forced to clearance the frame? If you can get some 9.5" x 15" rears, you'd still need offset TA's, but I believe that ought to work with 5" BS w/o flares.
You are aware that 275/50R15's are going to be ~3/4" shorter than your 245/60R15 fronts, right? FWIW, Avon makes a 275/55VR15 (CR6ZZ), 26.9" diameter as opposed to the nearly 28" diameter of a 275/60...
