My name is Mark Sherman. I have an original 7,000 mile car that was purchased by myself new. The car has Goodyear GR70-15 CUSTOM STEEL P/STRIPPED WHITEWALLS. The tires still appear to look good. The last storage was a 8 year period. The tires never went flat, but they wobble when driving. I was hoping someone knew a source for this exact replacement. Coker tire company had 225/70/15 silvertowns. Any help is very much appreciated. This car is a true time capsule car. I would like to keep it as true to original as possible. I am scarred to drive it with these tires.
Regards,
Mark Sherman 314 920-2804.

Hey Mark Goodyear makes tires for the corvettes just not that one Gt2s will give you a great ride but are not (JMO) a high speed tire (say over 1oo MPH for any extended time.
Have you added Rear end grease(posi traction) to your car I would.
If you go around A corner and hear noise coming from the rear end you need it . 4oz bottle any Chevy place.use two.then top off with your favorite 90W.
Yup you gotta change the rear end fluid to do the Job.
I would also change my Brake fluid (dot 3or4)
And I would check the PH on my Radiator fluid. Or Just Change it.
No or low milage on these cars will kill them, unless your tring to head to Barrett Jackson.Ha Ha

...Mark,if you want to keep that car in nice shape, you need to stop driving it with those tires. Period. If that car is "wobbling" like you say, and I know exactly what you mean because I've been through it, it's because those belts in the tires are shifting internally. They will come apart at any moment doing great damage to your fiberglass fenders. Don't ask me how I know.
...two of the nicest tires for '73-'77 C3s are either the P225/70R-15 from Goodyear as mentioned above, the Eagle GT II or the BFGoodrich Radial T/A. I love that narrow white wall look too as that is what my '74 had originally.
