where would I find a diagram of the heater control vacuum lines on a 79 corvette .I have a tiny line coming thru the firewall and then going to the wiper arm area connecting to nothing
Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a .pdf file with a complete climate-vacuum diagram for a 77 Vette. It's the best diagram I've found so far. It works for my 78 and is likely the same for your 79, too.

Your tiny line problably goes to the flapper door on the right hand side of the cowl. This door closes with vacuum when the AC is on. Opens for fresh air.
The assembly instruction manual (AIM) shows the flapper installation; the AC section shows the vacuum supply line.
The fender is off of this car, but you can see the flapper door and the valve.
ok instead of posting a new thread on this hopefully it will get noticed. i need to know where the main vacuum for the hvac switch goes all i can seem to find is diagrams for cars with cruise control my vette don't have cruise and before my switch didn'twork so i wire the canisters open to get air. well after a good bit of redoing i found the main line folded and tucked away on top of the dash. so now where does it go to get the vacuum it needs?
thanks mike there is a tee a lil ways from the check valves on the main headlight vacuum hose but its been plugged off. but it seems to be a large tee nothing that would fit the lil hard vacuum line. as for the manual is there anywhere i can find that without buying one. don't really see the need to spend 30 bucks for this. since this is the only thing i can't figure out lol
